Indian Cuisine

Our pre- primary students presents the Indian cuisine which is known for its diversity and vibrant flavors. It is difficult to describe the flavor of Indian food because it varies so much from dish to dish and region to region. In general, Indian food has strong flavors and is often spicy, sweet, smoky, and savory. According to food theory, all Indian food is made up of six primary tastes or rasas: sweet (madhura), salty (lavana), sour (amala), pungent (katu), bitter (tikta), and astringent (kasya). The staple Indian foods are rice, wheat, and lentils, and no Indian dish is complete without spices.
