World Environment Day

Environment is no one’s property to destroy; it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect.

To create awareness of saving our Environment, Delhi Public School, Kota conducted activities on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day.' The theme taken up was “Restoration of Environment.

The pre-primary kids made models depict that when clouds turn into rain, trees grow. They also depicted through role-playing why conserving honeybees is important. The first graders made Ocean Sensory Bins using a glass jar, water, plastic animals, stones, polythene, etc.

The second graders learned Environmental Restoration by creating oxygen through an experiment. They performed a play to tell the importance of oxygen as the need of the hour. The third graders understood the value of Revival of Rivers by dressing up and enacting as rivers and how they get polluted, how they can be cleaned and used for generations to come.

The fourth graders showed their concern about the Wild Animals and their habitat. They took up the topic ‘Why Wild Animals are moving into cities, and how we can stop it.' The fifth-graders prepared habitats and bird feeders by using the discarded environment-friendly things to show the importance of birds.
